Amphibians provide vital links between Connecticut’s forest and wetland ecosystems. In this program, the creators of the new video about native frogs and salamanders, Between Land & Water, host a screening of this remarkable documentary and a Q & A session with library patrons following the screening.
Taped entirely in Connecticut by naturalist/videographer Brian Kleinman and produced by writer/director Brendan Hanrahan, shows the life cycles of local amphibians over an annual season. The documentary offers stunning views of these fascinating animals including spring migrations, calls and breeding seasons, developmental phases from larval forms to adults, and more.
